At TPI, we are committed to safeguarding our planet for future generations. Given our footprint, we operate in locations with varying environmental laws and regulations with the potential to impact our communities. All TPI facilities undergo an environmental impact assessment prior to starting operations including an evaluation of the land before construction. Environmental laws and regulations are regularly reviewed to ensure compliance and mitigate regulatory risk. We pursue a global EHS practice in which the minimum baseline is the most stringent of the applicable local, statutory, or EHS regulations.
Each facility documents and closely monitors applicable environmental regulations as well as compliance requirements for retention of necessary environmental permits and reporting obligations to government agencies. Any updates, changes, or removal of regulatory requirements are also documented. All environmental inspections and instances of non-compliance with environmental laws and regulations are communicated to the leadership team and immediate action is taken to achieve compliance.
