Suppliers are an integral part of the extended TPI team, collaborating with us daily to meet and exceed customer expectations. We rely on our suppliers to uphold the same high standards for safety, quality, delivery, and cost that we apply to our own operations. In addition to adhering to TPI’s policies and procedures, our suppliers are expected to meet sustainability criteria that align with our commitment to ethical business practices and environmental stewardship. We actively engage with our suppliers to foster a world-class sustainability program.
TPI sources materials, products, and services to support operations across our global manufacturing facilities. Key raw materials include epoxy resins and adhesives, carbon fiber reinforcements, advanced fiberglass fabrics, core materials (such as balsa wood and foam), coatings, lightning protection systems, and attachment hardware. We prioritize partnerships with suppliers whose operations consider performance and the environmental and human rights impacts within their own supply chains. TPI is committed to expanding our use of local and regional suppliers to enhance supply chain resilience, improve flexibility and responsiveness, and reduce transportation distance and carbon emissions.
All new suppliers are screened, verified, and continuously monitored by TPI through a third-party compliance vendor.
TPI monitors key suppliers utilizing a quarterly Supplier Scorecard which includes criteria for quality, performance, compliance, and sustainability. Metrics can be found in TPI’s Supplier Quality Statement
One of TPI’s top priorities is to drive sustainability throughout our supply chain. To achieve our sustainability goals, we have established a comprehensive supply chain sustainability program that not only requires but also inspires our suppliers to actively engage with us on sustainability priorities, while increasing transparency across all levels.
TPI has established the following goals for our suppliers across key sustainability areas, including safety, carbon neutrality, waste management, and IDEA:
Achieve a year-over-year reduction in incident rates, with a goal and action plan to drive towards zero incidents.
Achieve a year-over-year reduction in CO2 emissions, with a goal of reaching carbon neutrality by 2030, without relying on offsets.
Drive a year-over-year reduction in waste sent to landfill and incineration without energy recovery, aiming for zero waste by 2040.
Identify and implement initiatives that foster a culture of inclusion, diversity, equity, and awareness.
