Precision Composite Layup & Material Placement

The structural integrity of a wind blade begins with precision material placement.

  • Advanced Material Handling: Production teams work directly with high-performance fiberglass, carbon fiber, and core materials.
  • Exact Layering: Associates follow detailed, model-based manufacturing blueprints to lay down composite fabrics inside massive molds, ensuring flawless alignment and thickness.

Automated Resin Infusion & Chemical Curing

Once the composite layers are perfectly placed, our teams execute advanced chemical engineering processes on a massive scale.

  • Vacuum Infusion Technology: Utilizing proprietary vacuum-assisted resin transfer molding (VARTM), associates inject specialized liquid resins evenly through the dry fabric.
  • Controlled Thermal Curing: Operators monitor state-of-the-art heating and curing systems to harden the resin, creating a lightweight, incredibly strong, and aerodynamic structure.

Structural Assembly, Bonding, & Finishing

After curing, individual blade components must be seamlessly combined into a single unified structure.

  • Heavy-Duty Structural Bonding: Production technicians apply advanced structural adhesives to securely bond the internal shear webs, spar caps, and blade shells together.
  • Aerodynamic Finishing: Skilled teams perform precision grinding, trimming, and gel-coating to ensure the blade’s surface is smooth, perfectly balanced, and fully protected against the elements.
