IDEA Council

In March of 2020 TPI announced that we were increasing our efforts on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I). Since that time, we have been immensely proud of all the progress we have made globally in this area.

In January of 2022, TPI formed a global DE&I Council to oversee TPI’s DE&I efforts and to promote TPI’s DE&I Vision Statement:

Everyone has a voice
We want to listen to yours

The DE&I Council is made up of a team of representatives from each of the regions. Membership reflects a diverse mix of associates, taking into consideration race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability, veteran status, etc. Members were selected based on their interest in participation, manager approval and support, the ability to strongly represent the business in their region on the DE&I Council and their ability to balance associate advocacy and business needs.

The DE&I Council will be a critical driver of organizational change, establishing a dedicated focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion priorities, and managing the DE&I program. This team will also help create strategic accountability for results, provide governance and oversight on DE&I efforts, and promote company-wide communication on progress.

In May of 2022, TPI made the decision to refer to our DE&I initiative as IDEA (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Awareness). By putting inclusion first, we are confirming that diversity without inclusion is not the goal – the goal first and foremost is to create an inclusive culture. As a result of this change, the DE&I Council is now the IDEA Council.
